Picture and file hosting has established credentials as a business idea. As the cost of storage has rapidly decreased as social networking has boomed picture hosting has been a hot vertical. There’s no shortage of sites in this space, and easy money to be had. At the very top Photobucket was acquired by MySpace for $250 million. To date free file hosting sites have been just that: free file hosting where essentially you get a service for free and the operators keep the profits from the site. Shareapic wants to change that.

Shareapic’s model is simple. It offers the same basic service other free hosting sites offer; upload your pic, get an embed code then display the pic on your site of choice. But Shareapic believes that their success in hosting files and profiting from this should be rewarded. Every registered Shareapic user gets a cut of any advertising revenues Shareapic makes. Primarily this isn’t based on advertising revenue made against each image (although users can add their Adsense code for some revenue via Google), payments are calculated based on image views. Their example:

If in month one Shareapic calculates to distribute $1,000 to our members, we will first tally up the total number of image views for that month. Using these two numbers we can determine the respective payouts for each user. If there were a total of 500,000 image views for the month, image views will equate to $0.002 each (1,000 divided by 500,000), or $2 per 1000 image views. If you’re posting lots of pics in forums, MySpace or eBay, you can see how easy it is to earn quite a bit of money!

Perhaps the only draw back is that Shareapic doesn’t disclose the revenue share; it may lack transparency but it’s still more than other sites pay in this space, which is zero.

We’ve covered two other companies that paid members to participate today, AGLOCO which went to the deadpool, and Capazoo, both of which had dubious multi-level marketing schemes (some would suggest pyramid schemes) and usually come with a catch. By comparison Shareapic has an honest model, so honest in fact that it should be the way of the future. What Shareapic does is recognize that users of a free service provide a financial benefit to the provider, and that in return profits provided by user participation should be shared (at least in part) back. Imagine the hours and hours put in by Facebook users or users of other sites; they may be free services but the providers benefit from each participant, and in the case of Facebook’s valuation, greatly. Expect to see more sites like Shareapic who value their users to the point that they offer financial rewards in return; it’s not only a smart marketing pitch it’s also fair recognition of your time and your effort in a market where many have business models that expect a free ride from their users. Build it and they will come may well be replaced with reward them for their time by sharing profits, and we’ll all be the winners from that.

What is PTC, PTR and PTP ?

PTC stands for Paid to Click. Some sites pay anywhere from $.001 to $.02 for you to click on a link and view it for the recommended amount of time. A site will usually needed to be viewed anywhere from 5 seconds to 90 seconds. Usually the higher the pay, the longer you need to view. Some sites will only have 1 link a day to click while others will have 100.

PTR is Paid to Read. Some sites will have a PTC and PTR section, and some will send the PTR links to your email. You do not have to sign up for PTR if you don't want your mailbox filling up. I do belong to over 20 sites myself and most of them do not send emails. On average I am receiving 50 emails per day. Before you freak out, it does not take me all day to view my emails. I usually spend 1-3 hour in the night checking my emails. From my experience PTR does not pay near the amount of the better PTC sites, but it is constant, has a lot more links, and does start to add up.

PTP stands for paid to promote. With ptp you purchase links from the site and then put them in blogs, forums, traffic exchanges, etc. When a different person clicks on your link for a certain amount of time you will be credited. I do not use PTP because each hit must be unique daily so you need to get a lot of hits to make your money back. Some people only do PTP instead of PTC or PTR. Once again, it is up to each person to decide what they feel most comfortable doing.

Most sites offer Paid to Signup or Register along with the Paid to click. I do not participate in offers or registration. I tried the offers, but I ended up spending what I earned because I forgot to cancel the orders in time.

Depending on the site, points can be converted to cash, used for advertising, or even upgrading membership. I will try to mention if they use points down below. Beware, some site are advertising sites only. You accrue cash but can not withdraw it. Instead you use the accrued cash for advertising other sites.

Some sites have little games you can use your earned cash to play in hopes of making more. Some games include higher/lower, Bubble games, lottos, or fruits games. You bet the amount such as $.01 and if you guess correctly you double your money. I have tried a few games and have come out slightly ahead. Though I only bet the minimum in each game

I have found that getting referrals comes down to persistence. The people who are willing to spend some quality time learning what works and what doesn’t work are the ones who walk away with all the glory.

Getting referrals can be a very difficult time for some, but its important to remember that you can generate new referrals from almost anywhere. I always tell people to start off by using the invite form on Yuwie. Next, tell your close friends about it and sign up with them when you are sitting down at a computer. Then try your family, coworkers, classmates, and other contacts.

Its very important to have some sort of relationship with everyone in your referral tree… but when you run out of people that you already know, its time to start referring other people.

10 Tips for Yuwie Beginners

Hello friends and my honest readers! Here are some of the Yuwie tips that I send out to all Yuwie members. Thought I'd share them....maybe they can help someone!

1. Make your profile something worth looking at. The first thing you should do is apply or create a template for your profile, add pictures, videos, something in your shout box, etc. You want people to visit your page and visitors get bored with the same old default red and white background, so make your profile appealing and exciting so that they will visit again! But don't make it too complicated or put so much stuff on there that it takes 10 minutes to load though, because visitors also get impatient.

2. Accept all friend requests and add as many friends as you can. The more friends you have the more page views you'll get. You can start with my friends list and just go through and request to be everyone's friend. Yuwie is different from Myspace where you're usually not friends with people you don't really know. Everyone is friends with everyone on here because we are all helping each other to make money!

3. Do not make your profile private. If it's set to private then only a limited number of people can view your page so that just doesn't make sense! But of course, making your page public also means, for safety reasons, do not put anything too personal on your page either. Don't put where you live, where you go to school/work, etc. because even though we're all friends it's still possible to come across some weirdos lol and we want to stay safe!

4. Learn from the pros. I recommend to all of my referrals to join the How to build your yuwie: Q&A club because it has so much valuable information. There are other awesome clubs that you can learn a lot from too so go through the clubs listings and join some! Also, when submitting friend requests look for those people who are experienced and can offer advice. They all have amazing blogs with some extremely helpful information and tips. Be friends with the people who really know what they are doing and are actually making money at this and learn as much as you can from them!

5. ALWAYS reply to comments and messages. When people take the time to give you page views by leaving you comments and/or messages you should always return the favor and comment or message them back. If you never reply then your friends probably won't comment or message you as much, which means fewer page views, which means less money.

6. Keep in touch with your downline. A big part of being successful with Yuwie is being a leader and training those people you bring in so that they know what to do to make money. If they make money you make money, and inactive referrals don't make anyone money so training your referrals is imperative. I always send a Welcome to Yuwie comment and a Tips and Tricks message to my referrals to get them started. Offer to help in any way that you can, encourage your non-active referrals, praise your active referrals, and just keep in touch. It's also a good idea to send friend requests to all of your level 2 and 3 referrals as well and encourage them as much as possible too.

7. Post blogs and create clubs to generate more page views. These are great ways to send people to your page, get more friend requests, and increase your page views.

8. Refer, refer, refer!!!. This is probably the most important advice I can offer you. Without referrals you won't make any money on Yuwie. They are your foundation and should be a major focus in the beginning. But a lot of people have trouble with bringing in referrals. That is because they are only advertising Yuwie to their friends and family. Friends and family are great but the big numbers come from advertising to people who are specifically looking to make money working online. I advertise my referral link on Craigslist. There are some tricks to advertising on Craigslist though, because the "Craigslist Nazis" will delete your ads if you don't go about your advertising in the right way. Technically you're not supposed to advertise the same opportunity in more than one city, but we all know that is the way to get lots of people looking at your ads. So to get around this the secret is to 1) make the posting title different for every ad that you post, and 2) delete your cookies before every new post (Craigslist tracks your activity on their site with cookies and if they see that you've posted to several cities at the same time they will come in behind you and delete all of your work). Make sure that somewhere in the body of your ad you write the words "telecommuting" or "work from home" so that it will show up when people search those words. I post about 10 ads every day, but more than that is too many. This just won't work if we totally saturate Craigslist with Yuwie ads. So post sparingly. You can also advertise on work at home message boards. One that I post my link on sometimes is the WAHM.com message boards. And of course you can always invite your myspace friends.

9. Be consistent. Yuwie is not a get rich quick thing. It takes time and effort but if you consistently work at it (especially at the referrals) you will see progress. You make small change in the beginning but just think of what will happen in the next 6 months or a year with exponential growth! It could be amazing!

10. Stay positive. I've seen people get discouraged after their first earnings report but you have to remember that this company is still a baby. Myspace started off small just like this, and look at where they are now, and without paying their members! Yuwie will be bigger than Myspace and we will make the most money because we got in on it in the beginning, so keep a positive outlook that you will eventually see results from Yuwie and it will happen!

How to Sign-Up on Yuwie ?

A video of how Yuwie works will come into sight on the first page when you click or enter the referral URL, there are three stages of video, if you are interested you can view them all, but if you are eager, you can just click the SIGN UP NOW button underneath.

Next you will be prompted by a SIGN UP form, and at the top of it, is the person who actually refers you.

The first section of the form is the email address, and it said that a valid email address is required for membership, you need it to activate your account, if you don’t have, just create one before you proceed.

Password should be 6 to 32 alpha numeric character (A-Z and 0 – 9), and don’t use your name or surname as a password.

Fill your first name and last name.

You can click on the little arrow down to choose from male or female.

Your age should not be less than 14 years old.

You can select your country list by clicking on the Arrow down on the right side.

Move the scroll bar on the right side to navigate, click your country on the list to select.

The ZIP code is the system of postal codes, an acronym for Zone Improvement Plan, which allow a piece of mail to be directed to a more precise location by the ZIP code alone.

A personal URL is the URL that identifies a person. It should be unique among other members. It could be your name, call sign, code name or your nickname.

Answer to the Security Question is your secondary password. A question that Yuwie will ask in case you forgot your password.

And the last thing you should do is to click the little box to signify your acceptance to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Then Click NEXT.

A confirmation dialog box will appear, just click OK.

For the last time you can verify if all the data entered are all correct, and then type the verification code on the box and click NEXT.

Now you’re done, on the next page you will be prompted to yuwie offer. There are 5-7 offer, just skip it by clicking skip button if you're not interest. After it, you will be prompted to upload a photo.

You can skip this procedure if at this time you don’t want or you don't have the photo, just click the SKIP PHOTO UPLOAD at the bottom.

Next is the invite friends page, you can type in the email address of your friend on the first box and your message for them which is optional on the second box. Then click SEND INVITES! Or you can click SKIP THIS STEP at the bottom if you want. You can invite them later.

A dialog box will confirm if you really don’t want to invite friend's, just click NO RIGHT NOW to continue.

Now here comes the main page of Yuwie. But wait were not done yet. You need to confirm your account, before you can invite friends and send them messages.

On the System Messages section click CONFIRM YOUR ACCOUNT.

A confirmation that a message has been sent to your email.

Next step is to go to your email provider (e.g. yahoo, gmail, hotmail, etc.) then sign in on your account and find the message about Yuwie Registration, then click the link next to PLEASE ACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT BY CLICKING THE LINK BELOW.

A confirmation that you have already activated your account.

Close your email account.

You can now start your Yuwie session.

Is Yuwie Scam ?

This is an excellent question! Is Yuwie real? or is Yuwie a Scam?

It's not for me to tell you one way or the other.

What I will tell you is this...

Yuwie is FREE
Yuwie makes their money off of advertising, just like MySpace
Yuwie requires a W-9 form to be filled out before getting paid (For the US Tax payers...) (how much more legit do they need to be?)

Since the dawn of Yuwie back toward the end of June, the site has reached over 85,000 members. 30,000 of them being in the second month, August. September has raked in over 45,000 members alone!

There are a LOT of people who have placed faith in Yuwie and truly believe in what the site has to offer. I personally have friends on Yuwie who are members but they don't pursue the monetary side of Yuwie. They are happy with the idea of meeting new people in a new place and sharing new ideas with new people :) I have even added people to my Friendster account, because I met them on Yuwie!

I personally joined Yuwie back around the first part of December. To date, I believe I have received only one e-mail from Yuwie to my main email address. In-fact, when I first signed up for Yuwie, I created a completely separate e-mail address just for yuwie to catch the spam. After about a week or so, I realized... "Yuwie doesn't spam with e-mail." So, I dropped that e-mail address and plugged in my personal one.

The "Y Guy" is Yuwie's Mascot if you will, whom can be compared to MySpace's Tom. (Tom Anderson is one of the founders of MySpace). The Y Guy presents earning reports for the month and any scheduled maintenance with the site. Nobody really knows who the "Y Guy" is... mainly because his picture looks like a "Y"... "Guy"... But hey, he's friendly!!

Like I said before. It's not for me to tell you whether Yuwie is a scam or not but I personally haven't seen a single aspect of the site throw up any 'red flags' to prove that Yuwie is a Scam. Unless proven otherwise, I am going to believe that Yuwie is 100% Legit!

Story of My Life

When I was a child, I discovered something unusual about myself. I found I was a magnet for others to share their life stories with me. These stories were often filled with troubling times but not completely, and at times I found some of the stories most entertaining. At the end of these conversations the person either thanked me for listening or expressed a sense of relief for “getting all that off their mind”. The older I became, the more I was able to participate in the conversation with questions that often provoked the person to look at their own lives with a new perspective and suddenly they were now inspired to do something different, something to improve their lives in a way they hadn’t thought of before.

I learned as an adult that I was “coaching” people. I wasn’t giving them answers to solve their problems. I was asking powerful, thought provoking questions that moved them to see their lives in a new way. They were now equipped with a new tool to achieve something they didn’t previously believe was possible. It wasn’t until latter in life that I learned what a gift this was. Reflecting someone’s essence; reflecting back to a human being the gift that they are to the world… there is just nothing better, or more profound, that I would rather be doing. Reflecting the essence of who people are is where I find joy and serenity in my life.

I have talked about "Meaning of my life" at the English conversation school before.
It is a kind of deep topic, and it is difficult to explain in English.
Even though you explain about that in your first language, it is difficult to say, right?

When I was in a high school, I found a very impressive saying;

You were not born for no reason
the reason why you were born is
because there is one thing that only you can do in the world

Everybody is different. each person has a different way of thinking, different abilities and interests.

After I overcame "Bully", I started thinking about "What can I do for people?"

I was looking back... come to think of it, when somebody is in trouble, I cannot ignore him / her.
I cannot help asking the person like "What's the matter?" "Are you Okay?"

Yeah, I like to help people. That's why people say that I am an obliging person.
Then what is the occupation like helping people? It must be a teacher, or a home helper or something like that.
Now, computers and English are necessary to get a job so I used to learn both for a long time then I decided to be a computer instructor.

Finally, I teach elementally school teachers about computer. My dream has come true!
